Please Note - If you are already registered to vote in Elections you DO NOT need to register again.
Everyone is responsible for registering themselves. You will need to provide a few details to register - including your national insurance number and date of birth. This makes the electoral register secure.
If you are not currently registered you will need to register so that you can vote in Elections. Being registered could also improve your credit rating.
If you are not going to be able to go to a polling station to vote, you can apply to vote by post or proxy. You can find out more information about voting by post and by proxy on the Electoral Commission's website.
